First off, I'm a movie-aholic who has worked at a video store part-time for four years during college, so I've built quite the DVD collection and it's still growing. I'm an extras and commentaries hound, and will double-dip on DVDs if the extras are sweet enough. Between my other half, [info]dyogenez, and I, we have pretty much all genres covered. I try to read as much as I can, and hope to get even closer to accomplishing the elusive [info]50bookchallenge this year!


Cell phones have become my new gadget obsession. I use a lot of data, check my emails as they arrive, and have a healthy text appetite. My current mobile is an HTC Kaiser, which was branded by AT&T as the Tilt in 2007. It's a solid touchscreen phone with full slide out QWERTY, but with Windows Mobile 6.1 being what it is I wouldn't mind an upgrade. Even though WinMo is hidden pretty well by SPB Mobile Shell, a newer OS would be nice. Two of my top phone choices for 2009 are the Nokia N97 and the HTC Touch Pro 2. If there's a QWERTY slider, than I'm probably scrutinizing it. lol


I've also followed comics for a while, and am pretty familiar with the major titles in Marvel and the DCU. My favorites? Anything Batman-oriented, and although I used to follow Exiles religiously, right now I'm just attached to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Animated series and feature films are my thing. I appreciate a good anime, although I just try to keep up with anything Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli related these days.


Sketching and watercolor have come back for me in a big way, and I hope to zen out as I practice a little more this year. I'm also a new doggie parent to a very energetic Cavalier-Poodle mix named Lily, who just turned 10 months old. We go on walks in the morning and she wears me out later by playing hard at night. lol Lily and I also belong to the Orlando Small Dogs & Puppy Meetup so we're no strangers to local dog parks.
